Popular TV personality Yoo Jae-suk, who owns a 20-billion-won building, was taken aback by the steep price of a business-class plane ticket. During a recent episode of Channel TteunTteun, the stars of Pinggyego—Yoo Jae-suk, Hwang Jung-min, Ji Suk-jin, and Yang Se-chan—shared their reactions while planning a unique “no app” trip to Vietnam.
In the episode, the group was tasked with booking their flights through a travel agency rather than using apps. This led to a detailed discussion about flight options and costs.
Business or Economy?
As they debated between economy and business class, Ji Suk-jin strongly favored business, while Yoo Jae-suk, Hwang Jung-min, and Yang Se-chan leaned toward economy to keep costs down. Latter remarked, “We can ride business class if we’re paying, but let’s check the price first.”
The travel agency quoted approximately 430,000 won per person for round-trip economy tickets, including taxes and fees. However, the price for business class was a hefty 1.9 million won per person.
Their reactions were filled with surprise. Yoo Jae-suk expressed disbelief, saying, “When you compare 430,000 won to 1.9 million won, it just doesn’t feel right. It’s like paying a membership fee of a million won—this doesn’t make sense.” Ji Suk-jin agreed, saying the price gap was far too wide.
Yoo Jae-suk also shared a funny story about a past first-class experience, where he got upgraded due to overbooking. He joked about how some passengers assumed he had paid for the seat, saying, “People looked at me like, ‘Did you really pay for this?’” His candid humor had everyone laughing.
This moment gave fans a glimpse of how even high-profile celebrities approach everyday decisions, like balancing comfort and cost.
Pinggyego continues to entertain viewers with its relatable content, showing that even stars can feel conflicted about splurging.
