After seven years in the K-pop industry, Weki Meki has officially disbanded. The group’s agency, Fantagio, shared this update on November 18 through the group’s official fan cafe. This marks the end of Weki Meki’s journey as a group but opens new chapters for its members.
Contract Updates for Members
Fantagio confirmed that Jisooyeon, a long-time member, has ended her exclusive contract with the agency. After thoughtful discussions, she has decided to part ways with Fantagio. The agency expressed gratitude for her dedication and assured fans of their continued support for her future endeavors. They also thanked fans who stood by her throughout this time.
On the other hand, Choi Yoo-jung and Kim Do-yeon, two of the group’s most prominent members, have renewed their contracts with Fantagio. While the group’s official activities concluded, the agency promised to support both idols fully in their individual careers. They aim to guide them as they explore various opportunities in the entertainment industry.
A Look Back at Weki Meki
Weki Meki debuted in August 2017 with eight members: Choi Yoo-Jung, Kim Do-Yeon, Jisooyeon, Ellie, Lucy, Lina, Say, and Lua. Over the years, the group gained a loyal fanbase thanks to their catchy songs and dynamic performances.
In June 2023, the group released their digital single CoinciDestiny. This track turned out to be their final release as a group, making it a memorable parting gift for fans. By August, Fantagio officially announced the end of Weki Meki’s team activities, marking the conclusion of their seven-year journey.

Moving Forward
Fans can expect to see Choi Yoo-Jung and Kim Do-yeon in various projects under Fantagio. Their renewal signifies their commitment to growing as solo artists and exploring new ventures. For Jisooyeon, this transition could bring exciting opportunities as she embarks on her independent journey.
