Without hesitation, Jae-i stands up and names Je-na, the eldest daughter of J Medical Center. The detective questions why Beom-su claimed Seul-gi was selling drugs. Jae-i responds that everyone hates the person who ranks first.
The detective later questions Tae Jun about his daughter’s whereabouts. Meanwhile, Ye-ri meets Beom-su, offering to settle the case quietly for money. She also sarcastically asked her about lying—why did she blame Seul-gi for selling the drugs?
Tracking Down the Truth
Jae-i and Seul-gi searched the school’s CCTV footage to confirm that Je-na was present during the anniversary event. They find footage of Je-na encountering Choi Kyung. When they question Choi Kyung, she insists she wasn’t attending tutoring classes. Suspicious, they follow her, only to see her board a bus in the opposite direction of her usual route.
Jae-i assumes she has personal matters to attend to and leaves. But Seul-gi senses something is wrong and follows Choi Kyung to her own home. There, Seul-gi realizes Choi Kyung was the one secretly sending crayon-written messages. Jae-i arrives in a taxi and confronts her, asking what she wants to say. Overcome with emotion, Choi Kyung accuses Jae-i of pretending to care about her missing sister. She questions why, in their six years of friendship, Jae-i never mentioned Je-na before.
Just then, Jae-i receives a call from someone claiming to know where Je-na is. They send her an address and demand she bring specific medicines.
Nightclub Chase and an Unexpected Discovery
Jae-i grabs the medicine from home. Seul-gi warns they shouldn’t go alone, while Choi Kyung suggests changing outfits to blend in. They return home and dress in short dresses before heading to the nightclub.
Inside, Jae-i places the medicine in the designated spot in the women’s restroom. Seul-gi keeps watch. Soon, a man enters the restroom and leaves quickly. Seul-gi chases after him. Meanwhile, Choi Kyung stays behind and sees a woman entering the restroom. Sensing something suspicious, she climbs onto an adjacent stall, watching the woman closely. The woman retrieves the medicine from inside the toilet’s flush compartment. It’s Ye-ri.
At the same time, Jae-i gets stopped by Byeong-jin, and Seul-gi rushes back to help her. The chase takes an unexpected turn as they get closer to uncovering the truth.
