In Bitch x Rich Season 2 Episode 1, jumps straight into chaos. The story opens with a voice recording. A girl is crying, begging Si-eun not to spread a video. The other person, likely Si-eun, coldly says, “Then just try dying.” That sentence sets the tone for everything that follows.
The blackmailer forces the girl to crawl to school before midnight. Moments later, we’re at the school campus. Hye-in, played by Lee Eun-saem, sees someone fall from the terrace. She looks up and notices a dark figure standing at the top. The body on the ground turns out to be Si-eun.
Soon, the forensic team shows up. The school removes Si-eun’s name from the Black Club wall the very next day. That’s when Hye-in becomes the main suspect. Police officers come to question her. She insists she didn’t kill Si-eun. Rumors start spreading among classmates. People whisper that she’s a leech. Some bring up a nude video of her, saying she stripped in front of a boy named Deok-min.
Then more trouble. The call logs show that Si-eun’s last call was with Hye-in. Why was Hye-in at school late that night? She tells the police she was supposed to meet Si-eun. No one believes her. Soon, the bullying starts. Her classmates claim she pushed Si-eun. One of the bullies says something nasty, and Hye-in loses it. She hits the student in anger. That’s when things spiral. The whole group starts chasing her.
Hye-in’s Escape and the Secrets of Other Students
A new student named Lee Sa-rang comes into the picture. He sees her being chased, gets on his bike, and helps her escape. They ride away from the school. Later, they sit for coffee. Sa-rang tells her he’s the younger brother of Lee So-mang. She was once part of the Black Club, too, but got kicked out. Sa-rang says he’s on Hye-in’s side. He seems to understand what she’s going through.
Meanwhile, Baek Jena (played by Yeri) has her own problems. She visits her dad’s office and finds out her parents are divorcing. Her mom is depressed and drinking heavily. Jena is furious and says something awful—that she’ll kill the contract teacher her dad is seeing and the teacher’s baby. Her father slaps her.
Jena goes to see her mom. She’s alive but drunk and laughing. Jena tries to talk to her. She wants to understand why her mom agreed to the divorce. Her mother just tells her not to let anyone take anything from her again. Those words stick. Then, Yul-hee—a fellow student in the Black Club—sends Jena a gift. But it’s not friendly. It’s part of a school disciplinary action.
She’s accused of violence and spreading lies. Why? Because Jena once claimed that Yul-hee’s boyfriend slept with other girls. Jena isn’t scared. She fires back. She asks if Yul-hee knows who really pushed Kim Hye-in off the rooftop. Her tone is sharp. She doesn’t sound like she’s joking. Yul-hee gets nervous.
Back at school, Hye-in’s world is falling apart. Her father is seen pleading with the mother of the bully she hit. He’s begging them not to get her expelled. Hye-in hears all of it. It hurts. She doesn’t want to kneel. But she knows the truth. If she’s expelled, her future is over. So, she kneels. Not because she’s sorry. Because she has no choice.
Reflection
The episode doesn’t hold back. It shows how fear spreads fast. It shows how fear spreads fast. How one mistake can ruin everything. And how teens in power will do anything to keep it, reflecting real-world dynamics of systemic bullying and the failures of institutions meant to protect. The show powerfully critiques the toxic combination of unchecked adolescent power, societal pressure, and adult negligence. There’s no adult rescue.
How one mistake can ruin everything. And how teens in power will do anything to keep it. There’s no adult rescue. No real protection. The students in the Black Club are brutal. The school system doesn’t help either. It’s all pressure, judgment, and survival. Each character carries guilt or rage, or some dark secret. Nobody feels safe. The show doesn’t tell viewers who to trust. And maybe that’s the point.
From Hye-in’s public shaming to Jena’s family breaking apart, Bitch x Rich Season 2 doesn’t look away from the hard parts. It stares right at them. Let’s see what happens next. Because in this world, even the innocent can look guilty.
