She refused. Still, his kindness reached her. She couldn’t ignore how thoughtful he was. Over time, she fell in love with him. But now, things were different. When Gyeom told her he wanted to like her again, Mu-bee made a decision. This time, she wouldn’t fall for him. The confession kept her up all night. Unable to sleep, she played video games with Jeong-hu, the little boy she had once helped. Gyeom saw them together. “If you need a friend, play with me,” he told Jeong-hu.

But Jeong-hu wasn’t fooled. He knew Gyeom wasn’t there for him. “You like Mu-bee, don’t you?” he asked playfully. “She’s out of your league.” Gyeom just sighed.

Tensions Rise Between the Past and Present

Gyeom finally made peace with Director Kim after their previous arguments. It was a small victory. Meanwhile, Jun struggled with his walker after it got stuck in a pothole. Mu-bee, without hesitation, helped him. That night, Gyeom got drunk. In his hazy state, he called Mu-bee. But she had blocked him.

Frustrated, he showed up at her house, pleading for her to unblock him. She didn’t say much—just pushed him away. The next morning, he woke up with a piece of her clothing draped over his arm. His brother, Jun, told him what had happened the night before. Gyeom didn’t remember much, but it was clear he had made a fool of himself.

Si-jun and Ju-a’s Complicated Partnership

Si-jun went to his secret hideout, where he worked on his music. When he arrived, the door was already open. Inside, Ju-a was waiting.

His anger flared. “You’re getting too comfortable,” he snapped. Ju-a defended herself. “I’m here for work. You blocked me. I had to ask Gyeom for help to get inside.”

She explained that they needed each other for creative inspiration. They had to impress the director of the movie. Si-jun took offense. “Why do I have to impress anyone?” At that moment, Gyeom, who had been reading the script, realized something. Mu-bee was the director. “You should do it too,” he said, almost as if challenging him. Later, Ju-a apologized to Gyeom. She admitted she hadn’t kept in touch and had no idea what he had gone through in the past five years.

Gyeom’s Attempt to Get Closer to Mu-bee

Gyeom bribed Jeong-hu to set him up with Mu-bee. Through him, he learned about an upcoming film festival. It was an event once organized by Mu-bee’s father, but now Mu-bee would be in charge. Surprisingly, Gyeom joined as a staff member. He helped set up the entire event.

On the night of the festival, Jeong-hu pushed Mu-bee to sit with Gyeom and Jun. She had no choice. During the screening, Mu-bee noticed something. Gyeom watched the film just like her father used to—completely focused, fully immersed. It caught her off guard.

A Night of Unresolved Tension

At the bar, Ju-a waited for Si-jun. She had been drinking, and when he finally arrived, she was completely drunk. Si-jun, frustrated and emotional, suddenly leaned in as if to kiss her. But Ju-a pushed him away. “I need time,” he admitted. “I can’t just pretend everything is fine.”

Meanwhile, at the festival, Gyeom’s casual flirting irritated Mu-bee. She left the screening. Gyeom followed. “I’m not playing with your feelings,” he told her. “This is real.” She didn’t believe him. As the argument heated up, Gyeom did something unexpected. He pulled her into a hug from behind. Mu-bee froze. It was just like before. But was she willing to let history repeat itself?
