The wedding day arrives with tension everywhere. Dal-i washes blood from her hands while in Lee Gang’s body. At the same moment, Lee Gang feels the wound in Dal-i’s body. This confirms their souls will return soon.
Lee Gang gets back into his own body. He has all the evidence he needs now. Lee Gang storms into the wedding ceremony. He orders Han-chul’s arrest right there. This ends Han-chul’s reign of terror and manipulation.
Episode 14 shows Kim Woo-hee talking with Yeo-ri about everything. Yeo-ri confessed to all his crimes and Han-chul’s crimes too. He lived as Han-chul’s puppet for years because his mother was held hostage.
Now he wants to live as a real person. Kim Woo-hee apologizes for bringing him into this life. Yeo-ri says he’s grateful he could at least buy medicine for his mother.
Lee Kang and Dal-i Promise Forever
Lee Un proposes to Kim Woo-hee in a sweet scene. He helps her hang laundry. Kim Woo-hee notices they’re meeting more often lately. Lee Un says he wants to see her every day. He gives her a hairpin as a gift. Six years have passed since everything started.
Lee Un asks if he can give her proper gifts now. The situation has changed completely. His brother will free her from slavery soon. She’ll become the adopted daughter of his friend’s family. This means she can accept his proposal properly now.
Lee Kang and Park Dal-i share beautiful moments. Dal-i asks if he’s still scared of water. Lee Kang says water gave her back to him, so he’s grateful. They look at their reflections in the water. Dal-i wonders if the water remembers all their time together.
Lee Kang says the water needs good memory. Their time together will flow for a very long time. He promises to overcome anything that comes their way. Even if Dal-i loses her memories again. Even if he dies again. Nothing will separate them. They’ll be happy for a very long time.
Dal-i promises to stay by his side forever. No matter what happens, she won’t make excuses. She’ll stick close to him for their entire lives.
The drama gives us a happy ending that feels earned. Lee Kang captures Han-chul with Queen Jangjeong as evidence. But Han-chul escapes with help from his nameless group. Dal-i doesn’t reach the palace in time. Lee Kang even tries harming himself to trigger another soul swap. It doesn’t work, though.
The Final Soul Swap and Happy Ending
Han-chul returns with Dal-i as his hostage. He stabs Dal-i with a knife. He demands that Lee Kang bring Queen Jangjeong. Dal-i gets seriously injured. While it’s raining, Lee Kang and Dal-i swap souls again. Lee Kang dies inside Dal-i’s body.
The royal guards arrive and fight back. Han-chul gets hit by an arrow. Queen Jangjeong arrives at that moment. Han-chul walks toward her despite his injuries. He meets his end there.
Dal-i is trapped in Lee Kang’s body now. She keeps injuring herself repeatedly. She’s determined to die again to trigger another swap. Then a miracle happens because of their strong bond.
Their souls return to their original bodies. Dal-i’s body comes back to life. Even her injuries have healed completely. She gets a new life.
Dal-i becomes queen later. She gives birth to Lee Kang’s son. They achieve their happy ending together.
