Motel California Episode 7

Motel California episode 7 delivered an intense moment between Na In-woo and Lee Se-young. The 7th episode, which aired on the 31st, featured Cheon Yeon-soo (Na In-woo) and Ji Kang-hee (Lee Se-young) growing closer. The two shared a passionate kiss, marking a shift in their dynamic.

Their relationship took a step forward as they embraced in Kang-hee’s room. However, their moment was interrupted when Ji Chun-pil (Choi Min-sik) arrived with snacks. To avoid being caught, Yeon-soo quickly hid on the balcony.

Later, Yeon-soo confronted Kang-hee on the rooftop. He questioned her reaction, asking why she had hidden him. “You and I can’t be just friends. We even kissed,” he said. However, Kang-hee dismissed the moment, responding, “We kissed once, so what?”

This exchange left their relationship uncertain. Yeon-soo wanted clarity, while Kang-hee kept her distance.

An Awkward Encounter with Ji Chun-pil

The episode also featured a tense yet humorous moment involving Ji Chun-pil. He arrived at Kang-hee’s door, excited to give her a snack. Unaware of what was happening inside, he knocked, calling out, “Kang-hee-ss! Open the door!”

Inside, Kang-hee and Yeon-soo scrambled to avoid getting caught. In a panic, Kang-hee urged Yeon-soo to hide. Ji Chun-pil, unaware of the situation, insisted she open the door, declaring that he had brought a “welcome drink.”

With no choice, Kang-hee finally let him in. Chun-pil proudly presented the drink, believing himself to be a thoughtful father. Meanwhile, Kang-hee hurriedly accepted it, then quickly shut the door before he could notice anything unusual.

Chun-pil grew suspicious, asking why she was acting strangely. Kang-hee, frustrated, questioned how he even knew she was there. The situation left her flustered, and Yeon-soo barely avoided getting caught.

Na In-woo and Lee Se-young’s Complex Friendship

The drama also explores Yeon-soo’s complicated feelings. He reflected on his past with Kang-hee, recalling when their friendship was enough. Later, drinking alone, he sighed, saying, “I’m glad I don’t have to confess or break up. At least I can see you forever.”

The next morning, he woke up next to Geum Seok-kyung (Kim Tae-hyung), completely shocked. Neither of them remembered how they ended up there. While trying to piece things together, Yeon-soo recalled Seok-kyung’s words from the previous night: “I’m going to confess to Kang-hee properly. You can just watch from the sidelines as a friend.”

Seok-kyung believed that friendship was the only thing that lasted. He reminded Yeon-soo that romantic relationships often end, but a best friend remains. He then proposed they all be friends, shaking hands with Yeon-soo.

Later, inspired by this, Yeon-soo approached Kang-hee. He referenced her friendship with Esther and said, “Let’s be friends.” Seok-kyung supported the idea, adding, “It’s nice to see you two. Let’s be friends for life.”

With that, the three formed an unexpected friendship, but unresolved feelings still lingered.
