Heavenly Ever After Episode 10 Recap: Hae-sook Touching Mission

Heavenly Ever After Episode 10

Heavenly Ever After episode 10, viewers saw a very emotional and determined side of Lee Hae-sook, played by Kim Hye-ja. The story took a new direction as she tried to help Yeong-ae (played by Lee Jung-eun) by entering something called the Lotto Festival. It wasn’t about money or real-world prizes. This lottery took place in heaven, and it was all about giving someone a new chance at life through dreams.

Hae-sook finds out about the heavenly Lotto Festival from a pastor, played by Ryu Deok-hwan. He tells her that in heaven, there is a big event where only six people get selected. They must share a winning number in a dream with someone they love. That number could change that person’s life. Hae-sook, feeling guilty over what she left Yeong-ae in the past, decides to become one of the six candidates. She wants to give Yeong-ae something better.

She thinks back and says with regret, “All I left for her was a small loan certificate.” That’s when she visits the Heaven Support Center, along with the pastor. To get help, she brings rice cakes and drinks to the center’s director, hoping to learn where the key is to enter the finals of the Lotto Festival.

Instead of giving a direct answer, the director speaks in riddles. He says she should look everywhere—mountains, seas, or reservoirs. Hae-sook is left confused but not discouraged. She keeps trying. She even hands the director a cup she drank from and reveals a map of heaven inside a bundle. That surprises the director, but he still doesn’t help much.

After that, she throws her house key in front of a reservoir and even prays to a mountain spirit, hoping to find the real key. She continues asking questions, sitting next to the center director, and even making strong remarks like, “If you don’t answer my prayers, I will go astray.”

Later, she ends up sleeping in a church. The pastor prays quietly beside her. Suddenly, something strange happens. A key falls on the pastor’s head. Hae-sook wakes up and hugs him tightly, shouting, “Pastor, you hit the jackpot.” She now has the key.

Truths and Secrets Begin to Unfold

In Heavenly Ever After episode 10, while all this is happening, another emotional layer gets added to the story. A character named Som-i (played by Han Ji-min) says she had a strange dream. In it, she saw a child and someone calling the child “Eun-ho.” This shocks Nak-jun (played by Son Seok-koo), who knows exactly who Eun-ho is.

Som-i asks, “Is Eun-ho related to you?” Nak-jun hesitates, then explains. Eun-ho is actually his and Hae-sook’s son. This changes everything. There are now hidden connections between the characters that they didn’t know at first.

The pastor, still thinking Hae-sook is his mother, calls her “Mom” with tears in his eyes. But she calmly says, “I never had a child.” She laughs it off and tells him to call her mom if it makes him feel better. Even though she plays it down, the emotional weight is strong.

Kim Hye-ja’s performance shows a deep sadness mixed with kindness. Her character is trying hard to fix the past and make something right. She wants to win the Lotto Festival not for herself but to make Yeong-ae’s life better.

In the final part of the episode, Hae-sook finds herself in the final round of the festival. She must now share her life story to win. It’s not easy. She gives a touching speech but gets nervous when she sees a strong competitor score 99 points. She then asks the pastor to join her on stage. Together, they share the story of his painful childhood.

Hae-sook says, “The last memory of this boy at five was not warmth but a cold sidewalk.” She adds that the boy died waiting outside a church for his mother. And then she says, “That heartless mother who forgot him is me, Lee Hae-sook.” She hugs the pastor and whispers, “I’m sorry, my son.”

At the same time, Som-i remembers more details. She tells Nak-jun, “You and I were in love. You didn’t tell me about your child. Did you want to go back to your old life? Was I just in your way?” The memory becomes clearer when she hears the name of the boy’s mother. It’s “Lee Hae-sook.”

Nak-jun gently tells her, “Eun-ho is our son. Mine and Hae-sook’s.”

Even though Hae-sook doesn’t fully remember everything, she feels guilty for her actions. She says to the pastor, “I lied. I need to confess.” And they both walk quietly back to the church.

This episode showed many things: regret, hope, and the wish to fix broken relationships. The idea of the Lotto Festival in Heavenly Ever After episode 10  is not just a fantasy. It’s a symbol of second chances and doing something good for others.
