In Our Movie Episode 3 took a serious turn. It aired on SBS on the 20th and revealed big changes for its two leads. Lee Je-ha, played by Nam Goong-min, officially cast Lee Da-eum, played by Jeon Yeo-bin, as the lead actress. But this wasn’t just a normal casting. There was a lot behind the scenes that viewers didn’t know.
What Is Our Movie About?- For those new to the show, Our Movie is a behind-the-scenes drama about filmmaking, ambition, and personal battles. Starring Nam Goong-min and Jeon Yeo-bin, the SBS series explores what happens when art, illness, and secrets collide.
Lee Je-ha didn’t tell everyone the full truth. He had offered another role to Chae Seo-young first. That upset Bu Seung-won, who couldn’t understand why Lee Je-ha kept pushing for Lee Da-eum. “Why are you so into her?” he asked. Lee Je-ha replied, “She has something we don’t have.”
Later, Chae Seo-young came to Bu Seung-won. She seemed frustrated. She said, “What can an actor do if the director isn’t into it?” Then she started questioning why she rejected the role. Bu Seung-won guessed that Lee Je-ha was simply impressed by someone new. That made things more confusing. Soon after, Chae Seo-young decided to go straight to the source. Before that, Bu Seung-won leaked to a reporter that she was still reviewing the project. This added more fuel to the fire.
Lee Da-eum saw the article and met with Lee Je-ha. He didn’t deny it. “Yes, we’re reviewing,” he said. He explained that the main role had originally been offered to someone else. Lee Da-eum didn’t argue. She even praised Chae Seo-young, saying she liked her. But Lee Je-ha said he believed Lee Da-eum fit the role of Gyu-won better.
Then came the biggest moment — the contract. Lee Je-ha gave strict conditions. He said, “This is a limited-time role for someone with limited time.” If the public found out about Da-eum’s health, it could be seen as wrong. He had two conditions: Da-eum’s illness must stay private, and she must live until the film is finished. Lee Da-eum agreed but added a request of her own. “I won’t die,” she said, “but you better not ruin the film.”
Drama Behind the Camera: Casting, Contracts, and Chaos
Later, Lee Je-ha talked with Chae Seo-young again. She said she wanted a role that showed who she truly was. She thought the part of Jeong-hwa was written just for her. Even though she knew many wouldn’t agree, she went ahead and shared her thoughts with the media. That stirred up more gossip.
Meanwhile, Lee Da-eum collapsed during practice. Lee Jung-hyo, who cares for her deeply, rushed to help. He was angry when he heard Da-eum had landed the lead role. “Why are you doing this to a sick person?” he shouted. But Da-eum stood her ground. “I’d rather live like this than be stuck in a hospital,” she said.
The movie had to shoot a test scene to get investors. There was pressure on everyone. But Da-eum shocked them all. Her acting was strong and moving. Even Bu Seung-won, who was unsure about her, changed his mind. “You can take this now,” he said. That meant no one could use her inexperience as a reason to pull out. After the shoot, Lee Je-ha spoke to Da-eum. “You’re the real star,” he said. “We got the money because of that one scene. You did it.” She hugged him. Then, feeling awkward, she joked, “This is so Hollywood…”

Later, Da-eum gave input on a key scene location. She picked a hospital bridge. She said if Gyu-won looked out from there, he would feel hope. That small choice made a big emotional impact. Her thoughts gave depth to the story, showing how close life and death can feel.
But just as things seemed better, everything fell apart again. At the end of the episode, Da-eum saw something she didn’t expect. She walked into a room and found Lee Je-ha kissing Chae Seo-young. She froze. That moment left her stunned. Viewers could feel the betrayal through her silence.
The drama isn’t just about movies. It’s also about trust, choice, and the little time we have. The story is moving forward quickly. Viewers are now asking new questions. Can Lee Da-eum keep filming? Will the truth ruin her career? And what is Lee Je-ha really thinking?
Fans are tuning in not just for the plot but for the emotions. The way it shows fragile people making bold choices makes it feel real. This episode of Our Movie wasn’t about action or plot twists. It was about people. People who are scared, people who are hopeful, and people who lie even when they care. Lee Da-eum is trying to live her dream. But dreams aren’t easy when time is running out.
