While fighting gangsters, she loses consciousness. The gangsters try to take her away, unaware that Ga-Min is watching from the terrace. He bangs the door, trying to break in. Meanwhile, Sun-Cheol confesses to the police that he killed a man in the heat of the moment. But the detective knows something is off. He interrogates Sun-Cheol multiple times, convinced he is hiding the truth.

Then, the real story unfolds. It was Sun-Cheol who stopped the gangsters from taking Ji-Woo. But he couldn’t fight them alone. His two friends joined in, yet they still couldn’t overpower the gangster. Just when things seemed hopeless, Ji-Woo regains consciousness. She grabs a knife from the car and jumps into the fight. Midterms, Struggles & A Painful Goodbye

Midterm exams finally arrive, and everyone is on edge. Once they end, Ga-Min seems upset. He knows his results won’t be great. His strength is something he still can’t control, and even his mother keeps her distance.

Then, an urgent call changes everything. Sun-Cheol’s grandfather is in critical condition. The whole group rushes to the hospital to support their friend. His grandfather, determined to hold on, spends his last moments writing an exam paper. Sun-Cheol tries to reach him but faces obstacles on the way. Gangs block him, delaying his arrival. When he finally made it, he was relieved that he was able to say goodbye. His grandfather passes away, leaving everyone in grief. They gather for the funeral, paying their final respects.

Later, the exam results come out. Se-Hyun takes the top spot. Lee Jung performs better than Ji-Woo. Surprisingly, Ga-Min moves up in ranking. Out of 220 students, he jumps from 219th place to 209th. This small improvement matters to him. As promised, Ms. Han-Kyung is now able to push for a disciplinary committee for Han-Wool, thanks to the group’s collective ranking increase.
